#TJHTalks: The Power of Words. The ABC of Jewish Languages
On behalf of the Taube Center and their partners, the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, and the Global Education Outreach Program (GEOP), we invite you to join the next TJHTalks on Wednesday, November 26, with our researcher Marta Dudzik-Rudkowska as one of the speakers:
Power of Words. The ABC of Jewish Languages
Languages have always stood at the heart of Jewish identity, culture, and continuity. From Hebrew and Yiddish to Ladino and Judeo-Arabic, Jewish languages have carried traditions, memories, and stories across generations and geographies.Drawing inspiration from the POLIN Museum’s new temporary exhibition, Power of Words, this discussion will explore the richness and diversity of Jewish languages — how they evolved, interacted with surrounding cultures, and shaped the Jewish experience.Together, our speakers will reflect on how language serves not only as a tool of communication but as a vessel of history, creativity, and belonging.
