Nevzlin Award for Marta Dudzik-Rudkowska
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Marta Dudzik-Rudkowska has won the award for the best doctoral dissertation on Jews in Eastern Europe, granted by the Nevzlin Center at the Hebrew University. The award-winning dissertation is titled A Revolutionary or a Son of His Time? Kalonimus Kelman Shapiro’s Pedagogical Writings against the Backdrop of Educational Reality in Interbellum Poland and concerns teaching innovations in Hasidic education in interwar Poland.
The Leonid Nevzlin Research Center for Russian and East European Jewry promotes interdisciplinary research and teaching activities related to the history and heritage of Russian and East European Jews.
